Terms & Conditions

1. Reviewer Background

Reviewers provided by Booktasters are readers from diverse backgrounds worldwide. All reviewers can read and write in English, but English is not necessarily their first language. Reviewers are not selected based on specific country, gender, or demographic unless explicitly agreed.

2. Amazon Review Placement

Amazon reviews may be posted on any Amazon marketplace (e.g., Amazon.com or other regional Amazon sites) depending on the reviewer’s account. Booktasters does not guarantee reviews will appear on Amazon.com specifically.

3. Reviewer Replacement Policy

A reviewer will be replaced if:

• They fail to provide a constructive and honest review
• They receive the book but do not post a review after reading
• Their review includes harassment, offensive language, or inappropriate behavior toward the author

4. Review Removal Policy

Authors cannot request removal of a review unless it contains clear harassment or abusive content. If such a case is confirmed and the reviewer does not respond, the reviewer will be removed from the community.

Refund Policy

1. Refund Requests

Authors have the right to request a refund at any time.

Approved refunds are processed 90 days after the request date.

2. Important: Discount Policy Clarification

If a package was purchased with a discount, promotion, or special offer, all refund calculations will be based on the original (standard) package price, not the discounted amount paid.

This ensures fairness in calculating the value of services already delivered.

3. Eligibility for Partial Refunds

Authors are eligible for a partial refund only, not a full refund, if:

• The full number of promised reviews was not delivered, or
• The author requests a refund before full delivery

4. How Partial Refunds Are Calculated

Standard Calculation

Refunds are calculated as:

Adjusted Pricing Scenario (Package Matching Rule)

If a refund is requested for reasons not related to Booktasters’ ability to deliver reviews, pricing will be recalculated based on the closest package tier matching the number of reviews already delivered.

This means:

• The price per review may increase based on smaller package tiers
• The final deduction will reflect the true value of delivered reviews

Example (Simplified)

• You purchased a discounted package for $400 (original price was higher)
• You received 25 reviews
• The closest package for 25 reviews has a higher price per review

Your refund will be calculated based on:

• The original package price (not discounted)
• The adjusted price per review of the closest package tier

5. Custom / Special Requests (Upfront Pricing Applies)

Different pricing and refund calculations may apply if the author requested:

• Specific reviewer demographics (country, gender, language, etc.)
• Influencers or public figures
• Reviewers with specific follower counts

6. Cases Where Refunds May Be Denied

Booktasters is not obligated to issue a refund if:

• The author stops providing the book to reviewers without a valid reason
• The author’s account is suspended and no alternative is provided
• The author harasses, insults, or behaves inappropriately toward reviewers

7. Ongoing Delivery After Refund Request

Even after a refund request is submitted, Booktasters reserves the right to continue delivering part of the service until the refund is processed.

8. Delivery Time Commitment

If the full number of reviewers is not connected within the agreed delivery timeframe, Booktasers is obligated to issue a partial refund based on the undelivered portion.
